Dimitri is an engineer and artist working at the intersection of design and computing. His work explores spatial computing across the extended-reality spectrum. Between head-mounted hardware, tools to support creativity and collaboration, and the occasional robot, you can usually find him in the lab designing and building new projects with shinier graphics, more sensors, and less-than-predictable algorithms.
He was the former architect and lead prototyping engineer of Intel’s Project Alloy, a standalone VR headset, and a creative technologist in the RealSense group, creating an open-source API for depth sensing. Dimitri graduated with an MFA from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), where he studied musical robotics and multi-user touch interfaces.
