Duygu joined Adobe Research in November 2014. Her research interests include 3D capture, shape analysis, and machine learning.
She obtained her Ph.D. in 2014 from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne under the supervision of Prof. Mark Pauly. Her Ph.D. work focuses on using computational shape understanding, specifically exploring symmetry priors, in the context of 3D reconstruction from images. More recently, she has been focusing on using machine learning techniques to infer and analyze 3D information from images and videos, focusing specifically on humans.
