Oscar Dadfar

Research Engineer

San Francisco

Oscar has grown up along Adobe software since the early Creative Suite, developing motion graphics, animations, scripts and plugins for Adobe’s creative products since his teenage years. Having a comprehensive understanding of Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash Professional, and After Effects as a user helps him to architect new tools as a developer.

Within Adobe Research, Oscar is constantly experimenting with and integrating new research technologies into video products. His goal is to help build the future of video interfaces at Adobe that can inspire new creative minds to pick up video editing, just as those products once inspired him. Aside from research, Oscar is also a professor of computer science at Carnegie Mellon University and a full-time cat dad.
